After a breakup, there is a great feeling of loneliness that overcomes us. For so long, we felt that we were a part of something bigger than ourselves. Suddenly we are left with the realization that we no longer have another to lean on. The loneliness is overwhelming. We have become used to having someone with us all the time.

Feeling left out In my own home.. I sit here Nobody loves me here Left in the corner as a loner crying Feeling left out Just because I love the man of my dreams Family can't accept What can I do? I love him very, very much Family is suppose to be there and be happy Sadly, that isn't the reality I am left to chose between one and the other I know what is best is for us to be together Either my family can accept us or lose me That is what I am willing to do We can go through all these obstacles to show that our love is true. Left Out ~ my own poem

Originally posted by a-night-in-wonderland. Bloody tears spill from my aorta. He can search the halls of your temple and find my name in hieroglyphs I hope he hears the harmony of my bass trembling in your moans Echoing everytime he dives in. Searching for whatever treasure I was forced to leave behind You know that no one strikes a chord the way I used to. So quiet and peaceful Alone on the earth I am my own best friend For what that is worth. The clock strikes, furious.

Being or feeling alone is one of the saddest places to be. You can have all the money in the world but if you don't have anyone to share it with, you have nothing. The need for human companionship is universal. In ancient times, people stuck together because they literally needed each other to survive. In today's world, we tend to spread out and live more isolated lifestyles. In some ways this is a luxury.

Don't have an account? Register Here! People you like don't say hello Your mood is lower than low Your friends talk about stuff you don't know Telling secrets they don't want to show Making you feel jealous of all this Being angry of everything you miss. You never go out with friends on Saturday night "They left without me", you think with fright. You never run out of tears to shed, Often wonder what it's like to be dead You're lying awake all night in your bed But deep inside you don't want life to end. You think of the "f" word, Everything's ruining your world You feel so alone in the crowd And everything's getting so loud You just feel so left out You never know what people are talking about You're so lonely, you have no one to talk to You're so lonely, you don't know how to make it through If you can place yourself in at least one of these positions, Then you know how it feels to be left out.
