A young man who was fixated with playing an online computer game has died after reportedly playing it for 22 DAYS solid. And the year-old , who had broken his leg and was bored at home, saw his character die on screen before he passed away at home. The teen, known only as Rustam, was playing the game Defence of the Ancients almost continuously, only stopping to sleep and eat. Investigators stated that the addicted gamer spent more than 2, hours playing the game in the last year-and-a-half. It's a schedule which works out at around six-and-a-half hours a day, culminating in the intensive almost non-stop sessions over 22 days leading to his death.
Gamers are often stereotyped for living an unhealthy, sedentary lifestyle. Video games are often played for hours while sitting on a couch. These games forced us to get up and dance or assisted with exercise. Virtual Reality headsets have taken a larger role in immersing players in new worlds. Still, these new devices have us staring at a screen for hours, and for more hardcore players, days. Adult gamers with real life responsibilities often turn to their controller or keyboard and mouse for relief.
