When I look at this picture, I see a little boy with big dreams. But when he looks out over the city in the moonlight, I think that he is overwhelmed by the vastness of the city. The moon is large and full and seems to be almost overpowering. When you have these big dreams, it is easy to look out and see that we are just a small insignificant thing that will probably have little or no impact on the world. That is when doubt starts creeping in. Then it is joined in by those parts of us that try to protect us from harm, as well as friends and family that are trying to protect us.
All we ever want in life is to succeed to the extent we believe we can. But, there's always that one thing holding us back, failure. The fear that we won't meet ours, or others expectations. I've always been quiet, never spoke up much and have always done just the requirements needed for any situation; doing this allowed me to avoid failure. As I've gotten older, I've realized doing just average isn't what life is about. You were put on this planet to strive to be the most successful version of yourself. With success, comes failure; this is something you will learn, and it will help you grow.
