Do All Dogs Go to Heaven?: Grieving the Loss of Your Pet by Roger HaberLosing a dog or cat is one of the most awful experiences you and your family can experience. These furry little creatures are part of our family.
In this book, Dr. Roger Haber shares the story of the loss of their family dog, Waldo, whom they had for almost 14 years.
Here are some of the questions addressed in this book?
* What about the euthanasia of a pet? Is there really such a thing as a “good death”?
• What are the stages of grief? How do I work through them?
• How do I help my young children work through the death of a beloved family pet?
• Should I get another family pet? Do I have enough love to share? Do I want to go through this pain again someday?
• What about the insensitive words non pet-owners say? “It was just an animal. Get over it.”
And the very important question…
“DO ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN?”
Dr Roger Haber seeks to answer these questions and more in a conversational and compassionate way.
This book is for those who are grieving the loss of their dog (or cat) and looking for ways to manage and process that grief.
18 Bible Verses About Dogs
There is great debate amongst Bible scholars whether or not animals will go to heaven. The main question I was recently asked is whether or not we will be reunited with our beloved pets in heaven. I have lost several of my fur- babies over my lifetime. I miss each and every one of them. They were part of my family and I mourned their loss when they died. Altogether the word ruach is used almost times in the Old Testament. Job
They are dirty and are not to be messed with. False apostles, persecutors, fools, apostates, and unrepentant sinners are all referred to as dogs. Unholy people will go to hell. I am the beginning and the end. Those who wash their clothes clean are happy who are washed by the blood of the Lamb. They will have the right to go into the city through the gates. They will have the right to eat the fruit of the tree of life.
The question still remains, do our dogs go to heaven when they die? One of the most poignant stories in the Bible is the parable the prophet Nathan told to King David. The prophet told the king of a poor man and his pet lamb. It neither confirms it nor denies it. Yet there are some points we can consider. God created everything—including animals—for His pleasure and His glory.
What does the Bible say about? For what happens to the children of man and what happens to the beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other.
